Behind closed doors, in gardens and tea houses reserved for those of standing, the chado — the Way of Tea — was a gathering by invitation only, reserved for the elite, where etiquette, presence, and precision were as prized as the tea itself.

We arrive in full traditional dress, with authentic ceremonial accessories — chawan, chasen, chashaku, and natsume — to perform the ceremony exactly as it has been practiced for centuries: unhurried, exacting, and steeped in meaning. Whether aboard a yacht, in the gardens of a private villa, or under an open sky, we recreate the same rarefied gathering once reserved only for those fortunate enough to be asked.
